If the "Profile may only run in one instance (strict serial processing)" option is set for a Profile (see General (Main settings), then jobs of this profile will still be executed in parallel if the profile's input protocol is underlying the request/response paradigm, i.e. the setting will have no effect if, for example, the profile has an Input agent of type "HTTP", "AS2", or "Message" (if the message is synchronous).
