Version 25.0.0/26.1.0 and newer
Database access
All instances require access to the Lobster Integration database (usually hub).
TCP/IP communication
Enable TCP/IP communication between all instances. By default, it runs on port 8020.
Shared folders
The following folders containing transaction data must be moved to a shared file system:
./as2./as4./ASM./conf./datawizard./transfer./PRO/config/files
Link these folders in all installations.
NOTE When migrating from _data 4.6.x to the Lobster Data Platform, see One-click migration from older systems for details.
Optional: Internal load balancer
You can place an internal TCP/IP load balancer in front. The load balancer determines which system is the active Node Controller. Some firewalls can take on this task.
IMPORTANT You must test such a setup thoroughly before going into production.
High-performance share
Use a high-performance share for the shared folders.
NOTE You can also create your own folders that are not part of the standard delivery. If multiple nodes access them at runtime, these folders must also reside on the high-performance share.
In load balancing, multiple servers access the same data simultaneously. The share must provide this access without noticeable delay. Only then is cloud-scalable load balancing possible.
IMPORTANT A simple Windows share is not sufficient here. It can severely impact performance.
