Signing In

You always sign in through the service you want to use. There is no separate address for signing in.

  1. Open the service, for example the support portal.

  2. You are redirected to the Lobster ID sign-in page.

  3. Enter your email address and your password.

  4. Once you have signed in successfully, you are taken back to the service automatically.

Login screen for Lobster Self Service Portal with email input and navigation options.

The language of the sign-in page follows the language setting of your browser. There is no language switch.

Setting Up a Verification Method

After signing in you are asked to set up a verification method. You choose exactly one of the following:

  • authenticator app (TOTP)

  • security key (FIDO2)

  • backup codes

  • email

  • SMS

  • face recognition

  • Touch ID

Lobster login page with options for email and TOTP authentication.

You only set this up once. Later sign-ins do not ask for verification every time: Lobster ID decides per situation whether a second factor is needed.

Your email address also has to be confirmed. You receive the confirmation email when you register.

If Signing In Does Not Get You Any Further

  • You cannot reach the service you want even though signing in worked: your account has not been assigned to a company yet. "Getting Access" explains how to resolve this.

  • You no longer know your password: see "Resetting Your Password".
